After a successful decade-long career in print journalism that culminated with regular work for The Associated Press, Tim Ritter used Robert Rodriguez's Rebel Without a Crew as a starting point to develop his own hyper-efficient yet ambitious strategy toward micro budget filmmaking.
Now with a string of innovative and award-winning short films behind him, along with a role in starting the Fort Myers Film Festival and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Entrepreneurial Digital Cinema from the University of Central Florida, Ritter has turned his attention to pushing limits with feature-length filmmaking. His first two features, Moment of Truth and Testament, both due out in 2017, focus on issues of morality and purpose in narratives that blend a deep focus on complex characters with storytelling ambition that belies the films' tiny budgets.
